Aston Martin Nashville – Guitar Number 3 (ORIGINAL)
This is one of three beautiful renditions of an Epiphone guitar with the Union Jack that I painted. The original series was created for a luxury car dealership in Nashville. They wanted the paintings for their Aston Martin showroom. I live-painted these at the first annual Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival in Franklin, just outside of Nashville, in 2015. I painted all three guitars over the course of two days while musicians like Willie Nelson and Weezer performed to raise funds for local parks, artists, and musicians. The dealership sells British luxury cars like Aston Martin and Rolls Royce. So, it made sense to add my favorite flag, the Union Jack, to each guitar rendering. I usually paint with bright and intense colors because I’m trying to convey some emotion or thought in my artwork. But the Aston Martin showroom at the dealership used muted colors. I didn’t want the paintings to clash, so I toned down my colors to match the room. Each painting is 24 x 48 acrylic on canvas. They are available individually or as a set. Contact me for the set.
