Aston Martin Nashville – Guitar Number 2
This painting is one of three in an original series I created for a local luxury car dealership in Nashville. Each rendition of an Epiphone guitar includes the Union Jack, the national flag of the United Kingdom. The dealership has a focus on British luxury cars and requested paintings for their Aston Martin showroom. To provide some context, this dealership has a special “VIP” room where guests who have spent $1M or more with them can wait for their oil to be changed. The first oil change is $5,000. And that’s where they wanted to hang my paintings!
So, I painted all three of them at the first annual Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival in Franklin, TN. This event, held just outside of Nashville, was a fundraiser for local parks, artists, and musicians. I painted them at a booth while Willie Nelson and Sheryl Crow sang folk music, Steven Tyler performed his classic rock, and other musicians performed everything from jazz to country music. I settled on guitars since the dealership is in Nashville (“Music City”) and decided to add the Union Jack flag since they focused on British cars.
It’s hard to miss the difference in color schemes compared to my usual work that includes bold colors. But I went with these toned-down colors instead so that the paintings would match the showroom. Each painting is 24 x 48 acrylic on canvas. They are available individually or as a set. Contact me for the set.
New from Roy Laws Art: Re-Creations!
So you love a painting, but the original is already home with someone else. What to do? I now offer to recreate the painting for you in the size and even colors you like. I even promise to drink beer and listen to loud music while I'm doing it to accurately match the environment the original was created. You can choose the "recreation" option below or contact me if you'd like something altered.
