Hank Williams Senior
The first time I ever heard a Hank Williams song was when I was college. That by itself is weird because he wasn’t exactly a chart-topper in the mid-1990s, not even with the country music scene. But it’s also noteworthy that I already knew all the words as soon as he started singing. When I was a kid, I would go on fishing and road trips with my dad and grandfather. They would sit around singing all these old Hank Williams songs, but they never actually played any of them. To this day, I love old-school country music. My favorite Hank Williams Sr. song is “Jambalaya on the Bayou,” but the one my dad would sing the most was “Hey, Good Lookin.” I have some great childhood memories attached to these lyrics because of those trips. So, I thought I’d paint the man who wrote and sang them. This was back near the beginning of my career as an artist. In fact, this was my first ever Instagram and Facebook post when I was trying to get my work out there. My style has changed a bit, but you can still see the core of what I still try to portray. This original of country music artist Hank Williams Sr. portrait is 48 x 60 and looks great in homes and offices.
