Aston Martin Nashville – Guitar Number 1
This is one of three renditions of an Epiphone guitar with the Union Jack flag painted on it. It’s part of an original series created for an Aston Martin showroom in Nashville. I do a lot of live-painting at various concerts, fundraisers, and events. Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival is a local event held to raise funds for parks, artists, and musicians in the area. I set up a booth at their first festival in 2015. While musicians played for two days, I painted three guitars for the local luxury car dealership to display. They sell British luxury cars, including the iconic Aston Martin and Rolls Royce brands. Since the dealership is in Nashville (“Music City”) and I paint music, I decided to paint guitars for their display. After all, Epiphones have been used to play across most major music genres, including rhythm and blues, folk music, country music, and more. And since the dealership has a focus on British cars, I added the Union Jack, the national flag of the United Kingdom. Typically, I use vibrant colors because I’m trying to convey some good thought or feeling I get from the artist I’m painting. In this case, the colors of the Aston Martin showroom were a bit calmer. So, I toned down the colors of the paintings to match the room color. Each painting is 24 x 48 acrylic on canvas. They are available individually or as a set. Contact me for the set.
