"Purple Haze" - 1959 Les Paul Guitar
This is my rendition of a classic Les Paul Guitar, one of the most expensive in the world. Paul’s musical talents as musician and songwriter spanned jazz, rhythm and blues, and country music. But his skills and innovative techniques in music extended even beyond that. For example, did you know he was the guy who invented the harmonica neck-holder so he could play guitar and harmonica at the same time? I didn’t think twice about painting this classic guitar from an icon who contributed so much to the evolution of music and audio technology. And it’s even better knowing Les Paul guitars are made right here in Nashville. I used a different style with the colors than usual. Instead of going with intense colors and rigid boundaries, I went with a softer look and less defined edges that merge with the background. The original painting size is 24 x 48. I have full-size and smaller sizes giclée options on canvas reproductions available. Contact me for custom sizes. My works are printed on Sommerset Enhanced Velvet Matte Paper using a six-color ink system. Both paper and ink are fully archival and will bring your art to life with vivid, long-lasting colors.

I even promise to drink beer and listen to loud music while I'm doing it to accurately match the environment the original was created.
